Oonagh and Keelan were really torn on how they should celebrate their wedding at the intimate and popular Byron Bay venue – The Figs. Originally from Ireland, they really wanted to wait out the Covid storm so all their family and friends could travel in from their hometown in Dublin – parents, groomsmen, and bridesmaids. But with all the uncertainty, they also knew they may be waiting years before that could happen.

During our initial chat I watched as their mood turned from apprehension to excitement while we discussed the different ways in which we could have their family and friends attend virtually and make it an event that would be talked about for years to come.

We agreed to conduct the ceremony at 11 am so the timezones aligned more comfortably. As they both have a catholic background, we included a section just before they shared their vows where both their mums recited the Prayers of the Faithful via a recording – this brought a lot of emotion particularly for the bride and groom.

We opted for a very simple ceremony that highlighted what love and marriage meant to them rather than their full love story, and it was absolutely perfect.

The Main Event

Luckily Oongah’s sister works in marketing and was able to bring all the high tech resources that enabled a seamless live cast across the globe via Zoom. Oonagh and Keelan sent supper boxes to their families so they could enjoy a toast of champagne and a yummy meal following the ceremony, and they made sure they had some private time with their families over Zoom immediately following the ceremony, so they could share that toast together.

There were recorded speeches from best mates, siblings and of course their parents during their reception – they didn’t miss a beat, everyone who needed to be included was.

It was such a wonderful and loving event, and even though there were some key people missing in person, they were able to celebrate their love with one hell of an epic party!

“Victoria was fantastic, she was extremely flexible with everything including a last-minute venue change due to COVID restrictions and our personal request for additions to the ceremony.
We live streamed the wedding ceremony without family back home and she made a huge effort to ensure our family felt included and part of the day.
She was a friendly and calming presence during a very nervous and uncertain time, she ensured that the ceremony was heartfelt, relaxed, and also fun.

We could not recommend her more, she made the day a fantastic experience (I would give her more stars if it were an option).

Thank you for everything Victoria and best of luck in your future endeavors.”
