Oonagh and Keelan were really torn on how they should celebrate their wedding at the intimate and popular Byron Bay venue – The Figs. Originally from Ireland, they really wanted to wait out the Covid storm so all their family and friends could travel in from their hometown in Dublin – parents, groomsmen, and bridesmaids. But with all the uncertainty, they also knew they may be waiting years before that could happen.

Meg and Tee always wanted a micro wedding that was going to be shared by the people close to them. Although some people couldn’t make it due to travel restrictions, they still went ahead with their stunning ceremony.

Nick and Katie became Mr and Mrs Crosland back in September 2019, and they chose the stunning grounds of Victoria’s at Ewingsdale in Byron Bay as their luxurious and exclusive wedding venue.

They didn’t want a Byron Bay celebrant who was going to be all serious and create a long and boring ceremony. They wanted someone who would sit with them, learn about their love, and create a ceremony that truly depicted who they were.

It certainly was serendipity that brought Lee and Tilly together. It was the year 2014, Tilly had signed up for the trip of a lifetime and Lee had been gifted the same trip by his boss, who’d won it but knew he’d hate it, and so offered it to Lee.

You have to wonder if Lee hadn’t have accepted that trip from his boss, would we all be standing here today?

Holly and Beau married at a gorgeous private venue right here in Byron Bay. When they first contacted me they told me they wanted a Byron Bay Marriage Celebrant who was fun, quirky and didn’t reference the bible! They wanted a wedding celebrant who would capture their love story and make their ceremony all about them.

Tim and Bri were all set for an epic Byron Bay festival wedding at Ewingsdale Hall in mid-April. Their garage was jam-packed full to the brim with all the hard and soft furnishings they’d been collecting and building for months – all their vendors were set and monies had been paid. 

But like thousands of other couples all over the globe, their dream day was stopped due to that disgusting pandemic! 

ou have to agree, so far 2020 has been a real shocker, and a year none of us were ready for.

Many have lost jobs, we’re seeing businesses closing down, and decisions being made that are simply out of our control, it’s depressing and frightening, and we can’t wait until it’s over!

Ally, from Australia and Cela, from Brazil, both live in Melbourne. They wanted a Byron Bay beach wedding with a laid back non-boring feel, with an epic party afterwards. They chose the Belongil Cafe for their reception, and Belongil beach for their ceremony. Bliss and Willow styled it all to perfection and Estelle from The French Petal added those floral touches, and the bridesmaid bouquets were by Caroline from Pikt Flower farm. All the girls hair and makeup was by Byron Beauty Bar.

Jess and Mats live in Brisbane, but as Jess’s parents own a stunning property in Murwillumbah, their decision on where to marry was an easy one. When I first met with them at the property, it was the middle of summer, very hot and very dry! But they were marrying in Autumn, my favourite time of year so I couldn’t wait to see their vision come to life.
